Proud History
Established in 1989, this year Pink Orchid florist in Gainsborough is proudly celebrating 30 years in business. What a better time and place to add a little history about our story so far? Our business has been based on Heaton Street in Gainsborough since 1995, when the opportunity to purchase a former BT property on Torr Street arose. Many months of hard work lay ahead in order to convert the premises to be suitable for a flower shop and the adjacent funeral home, then subsequently, living accommodation at the side. Around this time we decided to downsize the business, relieving a huge workload by no longer offering a delivery service.
For those with better memories, yes it really is all those years since the Pink Orchid van could be seen darting around town making those special deliveries! Since then we have offered a collect only service, which we've found is conveient for most of our customers. You can make a phone call or drop in to order and we will have your flowers ready for collection at a time of your choice. A variety of made-up arrangements and hand tied bouquets are usually ready to choose from and takeaway, but it is always better to order in advance if you need something more personal.
Despite us taking the plunge with a new website, we feel a phone call is still a much more personal approach, so please give us a ring if you need help or advice. We love to chat and are passionate about flowers, so it'll be nice to hear from you. Our flower shop is open from 9am till 5pm on weekdays, but closed on Wednesday, and Saturday from 9am to 4pm.
